This would be a full install & yes I've tried another xp disk & it says the same thing.

I bought 3 machines all the same d220mt & I've tried all 3 disk that came with the machines when purchased & they all give the same i386 problem. Can I copy a i386 from one of the other pc's & put it on this pc?

I do not have windowsxp sp2. Is there any way to use what I have?

it comes up to the desktop & I tell it to run D:setup & when it cd opens thats when the message appears.
