i386\winntupg\netupgrd.dll

I'm trying to reformat an HP d220mt. When I insert the os cd (XP PRo SP1a) it tells me that
d\i386\winntupg\netupgrd.dll is missing & it will not install. How & where can I get this file?

If possible try with another cd or cd-device.

Is this an upgrade or full install?

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

os cd (XP PRo SP1a)<< try using an xpsp2 full disc
Install windowsxp sp2 is the final release for xp pro and home versions.

To determine whether to install Windows XP SP1a, we recommend reviewing the Windows XP documentation and information below. If you have already installed Windows XP SP1, you do not need to install Windows XP SP1a.

Windows XP Service Pack 1a

I bought 3 machines all the same d220mt & I've tried all 3 disk that came with the machines when purchased & they all give the same i386 problem. Can I copy a i386 from one of the other pc's & put it on this pc?

Do you install from boot or reboot? I mean do you have the OS loaded and logged on, or through clean boot?

How do you install? You boot the pc with the cd in the drive or the pc is loaded with the previous OS?

Then it's strange that it wants to perform an upgrade.
Can you tell me the steps you do after you hit the power button. Just to see when the error message arrives.

Change the boot order in the bios and set it to boot from cd. I think for the moment it's not.
