Any way to install a setup an exe installation with a script.


Is there a way that i run an installation of a software with a script.Defining the path of the exe and clicking the nexts and acceptiong the agrement and all the setup user interface that are required.

All the exe cannot be installed. I think you can use GP for msi packages and for exe if it as a silent /s to install we can install the same using startup script for computers using batch file
Chandru is right.  Some EXE's will have a /s switch that has them install silently, but if you have an MSI, it is much more customisable.

Also, some EXE's actually contain and launch MSI's.....take Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 for example (and most likely 8 too).

When you run the EXE, leave it at the first screen, then search through your C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp folder and look for an MSI package that relates to that program.  Copy all of the files in the same folder as that MSI, to another folder to keep, then Cancel the installation.

What you have now is the MSI contents of the EXE, with the ability to run MSIExec and any required switches, such as /qn for a completely silent installation.

See if you can get that out of your EXE first....
