I am trying to perform a silent install of Adobe Creative Suite 3 and am having trouble. I added the application.xml.override like a Adobe document I found says to and used the DOS command [CS3 Setup] mode=silent payloadFile=[path to install.xml] but I keep getting error 7. Part of the error file is below, please help.

Hi Mister_Spock,

For what's worth, I've never been able to get the silent install to run correctly.  I assume you have checked the monitor resolution and it is running at 1024 x 768 or greater and you are installing this on XP or newer?

Yes, this is on XP. I have had trouble with the 1024 X 768 resolution as well. What did you end upo doing?

Not try the silent install :)

I've never had good luck with Adobe's silent installs and after a while I get so fed up with the errors that I just do normal installs.

What do you mean "had trouble with the 1024 x 768 resolution?"

I got past it, I am working on a manual\automatic hybrid installer that at least do the install unattended but it will not be silent.

I wish I did solve it, the hybrid is just a band-aid. I have documents that show how it can be done but I have not had any luck with it yet.
