error code 0x80072efd in MSN inbox

When trying to connect to the inbox or send mail on an MSN 9.0 client, I receive error code 0x80072efd. All Google searches on the error I've done are Windows related, not MSN.

The computer in question is Windows ME and connects using dial-up. Its connection to the internet is also spotty (even for dialup) and seems unusually slow.

If the problem is recent, try using System Restore to go back to a date when there were no problems.

If taht doesn't work or can't be done, uninstall and reinstall MSN.
