Error Message 0x00000010 on Win XP Home machine

Have a situation where the following error appears in a dialog box when starting one paricluar application from catiplliar on their parts catalog.  The have been contact and said it is not their issue.  Here is the message:

The instruction at 0x77ec2b39 referenced memory at "0x00000010".  The memory could not be read.

Could someone please put this into layman's terms.  PC is a Dell Optiplex running win xp home

    That error basically says that two applications are trying to use the same piece of memory at the same time.  It's usually a driver issue, did you add any new hardware recently?  I've also seen Anti-Virus software cause this, did your AV update recently?
