Crystal report printing multiple records instead of one.

We are using Crystal Reports 8.5 and SQL Server 2000 and we have a report that pulls data from Sql server and loads the report.  The problem is it will only pull one record and display.  I need the report to pull all records matching search criteria in the SQL Query.  How do I get CR to pull up all records and display one record per page?
I am very new to crystal reports so please be specific.

What is your report format?  WHere did you put the data?

What selection formula are you using?

    Accepted Solution

By default Crystal will pull all records that match the search criteria.  Assuming your criteria is correct, if you're only seeing one record, you may have placed the field in your report header / footer or page header / footer.  If that's the case drag the field into the Details section and you should see all of the records.

You can add a page break between then with Report -> Section Expert.  Pick the Details section and check the 'New Page After' option.

I don't suppose the SQL Report is using a cursor to pull the information is it. I had a problem with this, and had to approach the report in a different way. If so you may need to change the SQL Report.
