Joomla Dynamic Table Content

Hi all

I want to have a table in Joomla.
The table will show a list of links to specific content, which are pulled from my content (web links)

However, I have no idea how to create the table and make it dynamic.

Can anyone help, please?

it is not possible using the existing built in tools in joomla to do what you are asking.

if you want to pull information from the sql database dynamically, you need to create your own php query to obtain info fro the database.

the best way to do this is to install a mambot which allows php insertion.
http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthread.php?t=39551 (this is compatible with joomla 1.0.x)

if you are using joomla 1.5 then it already supports php tags using the {php}{/php} OR include a file with {phpfile}/path/filename.php{/phpfile}

the actual code to put in.. well that's better to be asked in the joomla.org forums..

I found it.
I created a module that allows me to post HTML code for a link.
Now I can post my table that way and pull info as I would in a "normal" webpage.

Thanks for the help though - got me going in the right direction.

I hope you are looking some thing like this
Latest content or Popular items
Both they are joomla modules

they are almost inbuilt
you can check with your modules path in your contol panel

Ifyou  can have some component related module then u can pubklish external links
otherwise only internal cntent data c an be forwarded
