Cannot remove Data Source in Word2003 document

I have a Word 2003 document that somehow (don't know how) seems to act like a merge file with a data source.  When I open this file I get the following dialog box:

==================================================
Opening this document will run the following SQL command.
Select *c:/ez/ezrrltr.doc
Data from your database will be placed in the document.
Do you want to continue YES  NO
================================================
I have researched here and gone to the MailMerge Toolbar/Document Setup and selected "Normal Word Document", saved it and then opened it to get the same dialog box!!

Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks,
Jack

Well I tried that yesterday and it did not work.

Today, however, I copied it, EXITED Word, started it up and pasted it into a new doc and it worked.  Don't know why, would like to know why but you get the points for getting me to try it again a new way.

We use Python to merge Word with datasource. A document/sjablone made on my computer will ask for (my) datasource on a new (customer) computer if Word is already opened (with an active document) on the customers pc. The question is like the one above:
==================================================
Opening this document will run the following SQL command.
Select *c:/ez/ezrrltr.doc
Data from your database will be placed in the document.
Do you want to continue YES  NO
================================================
We don't want to bother our customers with this question. AND we make Word invisible whilst merging so: this question is NOET visible to anybody but NEEDS to be awnserd...

If Word is NOT already open there is NO problem.

Is there an option (with/in COM) to delete/remove all the datasource from a .dot or .doc document? Or maybe an option to continue and scipping the question?
