Hi All,

I have just installed XWALL on its own machine and got it all up and running.  I have tested it for recieving mail and all seems fine.  My problem is that i can't seem to send mail out via it.

I have done teh whole smart host thing as it says in the instructions but exchange doesnt appear to be sending mail via teh xwall server.  The mail is still being deliveed but on checking teh headers it looks like its just comeing from the original exchange server.  Its also not picking up teh disclaimer which was what first gave me a clue that it wasnt working.

Any help very muich appreciated as i need to see this working before my trial period runs out.

If you think you have found the issue, but are worried about doing any changes, tell us what changes are considered and we may assist you, perhaps....

If it's an update problem, you should perhaps try a restart of the services involved, or the entire system

How is the XWall smarthost defined in Exchange, by a fqdn or an IP?

    Accepted Solution

I worked out that the people had set this up had set up smtp connectors so me messing with teh smart host settings was making no difference as it was all set up to use connectors.

I made the changes to teh connector and all working fine now
