dat72s would be fine as woudl dat 4 drives if they you dont expect they volume of data you are backing up to grow much.

Dat tapes are fine we find the tapes we use weekly only last about a year before we start getting issues with the media, though the drives seem to last quite well compared to some of our more uptodate drives.

should be "dat72s would be fine as would DDS 4 drives, if you dont expect they volume of data you are backing up to grow much"

Dat 72's seem to be the norm nowadays though you can still find DDS4 drives about, they can be a little slow if you have a limited backup window, but the technology is old and therfore largely reliable.
