Unable to delete Outlook Exchange account

I installed Office 2007 on Vista Ultimate. I tried to configure outlook with our exchange server but it doesnt connect (we usually use internet email since we are at a different location than the server). Now, im trying to remove the account from Outlook but it wont let me. I've tried uninstalling outlook, finishing by removing the appropriate keys from the registry but each time i re-install it, the accounts are still there. (I also removed all the outlook files from the Appdata folders, etc...

Help! I'm this close to re installing Vista and starting over!

I'n not familiar with vista but in XP I would check Control Panel -- > Mail and delete the profile from there.

Nah... First thing i tried. It wont allow me to do so... Gives me an error message. Something like this: "Cannot delete this account. 'something something' being sopied to the file...

I need to delete it manually
Is this the key you deleted in the registry?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles
Create a new profile in Control Panel -- > Mail and click "Always Use this profile" when you finsih configuring the new profile.

See if can delete the old after.
