How to create a blank video file and then adding video frames from 2 separate videos into the blank video

Hi,

Imagine having a person talking in front of a green screen. This file is captured for example in avi format. Imagine another video file where a different person is also speaking in front of a green screen.

Is it possible to add both files to a third video file such that it appears that both people are in the scene speaking with each other?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Paul

This is possible only by having one individual talking at a time and would require a lengthy edit. You would have to cut in each segment starting w/ one person and then the next piece of the video will be the first segment of the other persons recorded segment. This can be done with alot of different video editing tools out there(IE:TMPEG, Nero), but requires alot of time and interaction on your part in editing.  you can edit your video first and then append your audio afterwards. However, it would be simpler to do your audio and video edit and saving at the same time since its 2 different file sources.

Hi Warlock,

I guess what I am trying to do is stich pieces of video together and am not worried about audio. For example I have some video of a person speaking in front of a green screen - that is their lips are moving (Video A).
Lets say I have 2 other videos of another person. In one of these videos the person is standing up and their lips are not moving (Video B). In another video they are standing up and their lips are moving (Video C). All videos are in front of a green screen so the background is not important and can be exchanged.

Q: Is it possible to create a new movie that contains video A and has video B somehow 'pasted into it' such that it looks like video A is speaking to Video B and after several seconds video C enters the scene (also pasted into it)  and looks like he is addressing video A?
Yes, but again if audio is not an issue here then you should have no problem doing this the way you want it and getting the result you need. However, you will ONLY be able to see one person speaking/presenting (Vid A,B, or C) at one given time because you are meshing 3 seperate videos into one and trying to encode it as such so the final result will show a frame of : Video A, then the next frame will be from Video B, and then next from Video C.  You wont be able to view a clip from Video A, and B or C in the same frame at the same time since its 3 different sources.
Thanks Warlock,

After I have stictched the video frames together I will add audio.

Is there any particular piece of software that you would recommend for performing this video editing?

Kind regards,

Paul
