Where can I find a Country names file to import to MS SQL Server country name table?

i have created the table structure

country_id                   identity
country_abbreviation  varchar(2)
country_name             varchar(60)

i need to populate the table with the actual country names. I would like to know if anyone knows of an existing file that contains these data and that I can download to then import it to my table in SQL Server?

Thank you,

incidentally, the ISO 2 and 3 digit codes supplied in my first link should prove quite useful too, and I'd suggest adding these to your table too.

hello and thanks yo very much for all of your comments.

I was wondering if by any chance you know of an existing list similar to the ones you have provded but in Spanish.

Thanks again,

itortu.

I doubt you will find an organised ISO-type list in Spanish - but you could perhaps use the ISO codes, and a lookup from the lists on this page:
