Photoshop and Illustrator crashing when switching between the two

I have TWO computers running CS2 and Mac OS X 10.4.9 having the same problem. When they have both Illustrator and Photoshop open and they switch between the two one or both applications will crash? Any help would be very much appreciated.

When you say crash what are you experiencing specifically?  Does it matter what is open at the time, how much memory do you have on the computer?

The computer has 6GB or RAM. When I say crash I mean that if I click on Photoshop Illustrator will just shut down. No saving no freezing. Just closes. It's really strange.

/please excuse the lateness of my reply, I live in San Diego and the wild fires kept me from work.

I still haven't gotten any help on this and the system keeps doing it.  Anyone?

Sorry, I've looked around some but haven't seen anything in particular.  This is about the best info I could find (I'm sure there's something similar for Illustrator).  Starting with about step 4 I think, you've probably done all the prior steps.

If I can't get it to work with all those steps I'm going to re-do the whole system. Thanks man. Pretty much all I could ask for.
