Apple Cinema Display Monitor on Dell / No Picture

I have an Apple Cinema 23" monitor with a DVI connector on it. It works fine on the Mac G5 we got it with. I have several PC's that also have DVI outputs that it works with. The Dell I REALLY want it to work on, it doesn't work. I get no video. I have a GeForce 8400 GS card in the Dell.  The DVI out on the Dell works with other monitors just fine, just not the Apple monitor.

What resolution do you have the Dell set for?   The Apple Cinema's minimum resolution is 1024 x 640 ==> this will not display the BIOS screen or the Windows boot screen;  but should display just fine once the Windows drivers "take over" as long as they're set for a supported resolution.

i've tried many sizes too, 1024 x 768 on up.

1920 x 1600 is outside of the Cinema's specs.

I'd set the Dell to 1920 x 1200 (the Cinema's optical resolution) and then shut down; connect the Cinema; and see if that does the trick.
