I am not an SQL guru. I need specific instructions to maximize performance on an SQL 2005 installation. I have setup SQL 2000 before and setup the hardware for 2005 in similar fashion. I have a Dell PE2900 Dual Quad Core, 16 GB RAM, Windows Enterprise x64, 3 RAID containers (RAID 1 - Boot, RAID 5 - SQL Database, RAID 1 - TX Logs). I have not moved the TX logs yet because I can't find any documents online that explain it well enough for me to do it. I need someone to give me a link to or provide concise instructions on how move the TX logs and tweak this server to scream. To show my appreciation, I am loosening the purse stings and giving full credit for this question to the person that provides the answer I need.
