Traversing the ObjectBrowser library

Dear VBA expert

I was investigating how the Libraries work in VBA.  Specifically, I was looking at the Microsoft Internet Controls Library and the InternetExplorer Class.

Within the InternetExplorer Class there is a property Document which is actually another Class/Object that has its own properties and methods.  However, I cannot investigate the methods of this Object.  The object browser doesn't collapse this property.

How can I Find out more about the Document object?
How can I find more information about the properties and methods of the InternetExplorer Object.  For example I would like a full explanation of the arguments for the navigate method.  I tried to look on MSDN but was not successful.

Thanks so much

These are two different issues.

The Navigate method is part of the WebBrowser control. You can find ample documentation on that through the Object Browser and on Microsoft's site:

Make sure to read up on the WebBrowser events as well (there is a reference section specially for VBA developers). A good web-oriented interface should monitor them.

Once a page is loaded, you should also have a Document object available. That is a bit more tricky, but in fact (since you are still within the MS empire) it will be an IE document object.

Document Property

document Object

I hope this helps
