With respct to the windows installer - Been there, tried tjhat, didn't work.  Attempt to install the installer reported that there was a newer version on my system and the update represented by the installation package was not needed.

I reviewed the prerequisites.  I believe we have everything in place.  But I'll check again.  Watch this space.

Further comment ... Upon review off sql 2005 prereq's - we have everything in place.  We have no established prior release of sql server which we are trying to upgrade.

Question:  How can I force a re-installation of Dot.Net Framework 2.0 - just in case our current installation is suspect?
