I have a client with Outlook 2003 (the CEO of all people) who is having trouble with accessing his Contacts. Everytime he clicks the TO button on an email and selects 'Contacts' or 'All COntacts', or anything other than the GAL, Outlook crashes and generates a failure notification.
He is able to look at his Contacts and can right click them and select 'New Message to Contact' without any issue, but it's not his preferred method (and who am I to argue with the CEO???)
I have worked through a number of possible solutions such as removing the Address Book, deleting all his Contacts, creating new profile, uninstalling/reinstalling Office - but nothing has worked. I have tried using the Information Store Viewer, but that crashes out when I try to delete the actual Contacts folder from the Exchange store.
Interestingly I can recreate his profile on my computer (Outlook 2007) and there is no issue, it seems to be isolated to his machine.
So, short of rebuilding his computer from scratch (which he is not a fan of), does anyone else have any other ideas?
