CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION (0xF4)

The PC in question is a HP Pavilion d4100y with XP Pro SP2 running 1GB of RAM and 2 HDD running in RAID 1.

Recently this PC has been blue screening with the Stop Error 0xF4.  The crashes only happen in the evening when the PC is not being used.  I have run MemTest with no errors found.  THis PC has been in use for a little over a year now with no issues.  There were no software or hardware changes made to the PC prior to this problem starting.  Here is the info from the debuglog:

I wonder if somebody accediently changed the power and/or hiberation settings on the PC.   (This would also account for the fact that it only happens when the PC is not in use)

Change the setting to 'Allway On' and disable Hiberation to see if that make any difference.

It was already set to always and I disabled the Hibernation setting.  The PC is connected to an APC battery backup and runs the PowerChute PE software that monitors the battery.  Will disabling the hibernation affect this if it should go to battery?

Thanks
-S
I dunno... I suspect that PowerChute needs the PC to be running, so disabling Hibernation should not affect it
Well unfortunately that was not it.  It crashed again around noon today.  The office is closed on Tuesdays.  Here is the debug log from the most recent system error.

Looking through the event manager I found that the time service has not been able to update.

Event Type:      Warning
Event Source:      W32Time
Event Category:      None
Event ID:      36
Date:            10/24/2007
Time:            11:32:31 AM
User:            N/A
Computer:      LCC-HPSV001
Description:
The time service has not been able to synchronize the system time for 49152 seconds because none of the time providers has been able to provide a usable time stamp. The system clock is unsynchronized.

This warning directed me to the following KB article.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/832936/en-us

It seems to me that the system error this computer is receiving has to do with the computer coming out of hibernation.  This hotfix addresses an issue with the time service not syncing properly when a computer comes out of hibernation.

I have tested the RAM, run chkdsk, reset the paging file, and run windows repair all to no avail.  I guess my only option left is to nuke and pave as graye suggested.

Thanks,
-S
