Is there any such thing as a BASIC interpreter for a PALM OS device (Palm Treo in my situation). &nbsp;Or some other language? &nbsp;<br />

I'm talking about a programming interpreter or complier that actually sits on the PALM device and where one does'nt have to use a PC at all in the process.<br />

Is there any such thing as a BASIC interpreter for a PALM OS device (Palm Treo in my situation).  Or some other language?

Most devices will not run Java natively, and require a run-time component to be installed in order to execute a Java program.
