asked on

forgot password and security question.

I changed gmail password and forgot the new one. I also can't remember the old password. But I still have the secoundry email address and can access it. Is there any chance to get the google password assistant email to reset the password? Because when I try to use the forgot password option at gmail it's always asking me the security question. That gmail account is important to me.

Is there solution for problem.

Just click the "Change your password by sending an email to your secondary address" link under the answer to your Question.

... and click on "I cannot access my account"  (leave everything blank)

... on the next screen click on "I've forgotten my password"

... and then just follow the prompts.

Apphyo,

It looks like you did not provide a secondary email address to GMAIL as there is no link to send it to your secondary address. So if you cant find out your security answer (Your first phone number) Then Gmails official line is that "Under no circumstances" Can they provide a new password. and the account will be deleted after 9 months of no use.

You could try sending them an email from another account advising them of your issue and giving some details of your account I.e Some top contacts or distribution lists. A regular email from somone but I dont think they will do it for you.

Failing remembering the answer to your question then I think you will need to find a hacker ; )

I found an article about hacking an account but its a year old so they probably fixed the security floor along time ago. I wouldnt like to try it anyway.

I dont know about the leagal implication of hacking your own account so cant advise you on the matter really.
