I've mirrored SQL servers which works fine.
The problem I have is that in my asp.net(vb) web application, it poimts to the IP address of the principal SQL server in my web.config file
add name="LocalSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=188.8.131.52;Initial Catalog=WebData;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=WebServerConnection;Password=*********"/>
When the principal server goes down and the mirror takes over and the the SQL database cannot be reached by the webserver as the IP address on the SQL server has changed.
How can i get my web.,config file to look at both the principal nand mirror servers to stop SQL connection errors whe the main principal server goes down as the IP address is hardcoded into the web.config file.
