Defeat the "Multiple connections to a server or shared resource ..." Warning

How many times have we all seen this?

Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. blah blah blah blah.

In a small, isolated network environment, this is overkill.  It's doubly so because (in my case) it's usually ONE USER, using ONE USER NAME trying to do more than one thing at a time.  It seems the server security is trying to guess the users intentions and failing.

Can someone tell me how to defeat this?
Thanks.

PS:
If a well meaning expert here wants to inform me that this is so utterly dangerous,
that even the thought of posting the attempt here,
will destabilize the eternal framework of the universe;
Will that expert kindly not reply.
Please?

Thank you so much.

Or you can use the FQDN:
For example if you were part of the acme.com domain and you wanted to connect to the c$ share on a server named ACMESV01. You could map \\ACME01.acme.com\c$ instead of \\ACME01\c$. You should not get the multiple connection error.

CTHarp: I have sites w/ and w/o domains.  That hadn't occurred to me, I'll try it.
oBdA: Now that you mention it, I had read that somewhere before.  That would cover me at sites w/o domains.

My dream solution is for the server to allow multiple, concurrent connections.  However, these would help a lot if no other solution is forthcoming.

Thanks.
