Screensaver lockout GPO problems
Experts,
I have a screensaver lockout policy applied at the top of the domain.
Every domain member, including servers and DC's have this policy applied.
My situation is that I need to exclude certain machines from having this policy applied as thes machines are in meeting rooms etc..... As this policy is a user policy how do I apply this policy to hardware?
I've touched on the the loopback group policy setting but I could not get that working. I also tried moving hardware to a different container and applying a seperate policy.
I'm struggling a little with this!!
Can you experts point me in the right direction please?
Mike

ocon827679,
this won't work. The screen saver is a *user* specific setting, so there is absolutely *nothing* (well, except the Loopback policy) you can do with *computer* accounts to prevent them form applying.

If the policy does more than just lock the screen, then you're better off with the loopback policy that oBdA recommends.
