Can one access folder shares on a Win2003 server from OWA?

We recently set up a new Exchange 2007 server.  Users are accessing OWA just fine.  However, I thoujght one of the features with x2007 owa was that users would be able to access shared folders/files from  owa.  Am I correct?  Must we have Sharepoint services running to do this?
Thanks
