We have a Win SBS 2003 STD DC and i'm trying to setup a template user.  So far i setup the user template, and i "copy" that account and i have the following problem.

The roaming profile path is

\\server\share\%username%

And when i "copy" the user the username part is changed to the new username, although here is the problem.  WITHOUT putting a backslash on the end, when the user logs in, I get the error "cannot find profile...it will login with a temp profile".

I worked out that when there is a backslash on the end of the profile path, so it looks like \\server\share\%username%\   everything works fine.
When i put a backslash on the end of the profile path in the user template, and the user is copied, the username part is NOT renamed to the new user.

Does anyone have any suggestions as how to resolve this?

Thank you
