The uninterruptible power supply service is missing on a Windows 2003 Standard SP2 server. It was listed and running at one time (pre SP2 perhaps).
In Power Options Properties, a yellow warning sign states "The UPS service is stopped". When "net start ups" is run in the command line, the message "The service name is invalid" is displayed.
The "ups.exe" and "apcups.dll" are present in the C:\windows\system32 directory.
Power Chute basic does not support the UPS, otherwise that would be the work around. Any suggestions are appreciated.
