How can I enlarge the font for incoming e-mail messages in Microsoft Office Outlook®?

- You can only specify this if the e-mail is sent to you in plain text (rather than Rich Text Format or HTML formats).
- You can usually tell if someone is sending you e-mail in plain text; it appears in the Courier New font.
How do I change the default font and/or font size?

The default font is the font that application or program presets (if you're starting with the standard Normal template that comes with the program) when you create a new Office document, spreadsheet, email message, or whatever, and start typing.

You can, however, change that font to a different (a) font family, and/or (b) a different font size, and/or (c) different font attributes (or style or effects) from regular to bold, italics, underlined, strike through, etc.
1. In an Outlook item, select or highlight the text you want to change.
Note: An item is the basic element that holds information in Outlook (similar to a file in other programs). Items include e-mail messages, appointments, contacts, tasks, journal entries, notes, posted items, and documents.),

2. On the Formatting toolbar (with buttons and options used to apply text formatting) To display the toolbar, point to Toolbars on the View menu, and then click Formatting.), in the Font Size box , enter the size you want.
Note: This procedure is not available in messages if you use plain text as your message format.
Yopu can also try this one:

Best of luck!

AFAIK you cannot change the default so that all emails open with a different size of text.  Individually you can change content of email files to enlarge the actual text, i.e. by ensuring RTF and selecting a larger font size.  This will work on  a per message context.

I assume you want to enlarge the view text without having to change the font and in the case of an email opened I do not believe this is possible.
