Stop non delivery receipts on Exchange Server for unknown users
In order to avoid spammers hitting the Exchange Server, I would like to stop the Exchange Server sending out non delviery reports where a user is not recongised. Coudl someone point me to how I can turn this off please? I want to simply drop the message
For reference, the non delivery report for users not reconiged is:-
"This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.
Delivery to the following recipients failed.
xyz@abc-fs.co.uk
Received-From-MTA: dns;exchange-pop3-connecto r.com

Final-Recipient: rfc822;xyz@abc-fs.co.uk

ASKER
It is Exchange 2003 and we are using POP3 Connector

This solution is only available to members.
To access this solution, you must be a member of Experts Exchange.
Also I notice a reference to a POP3 connector there - are you using a POP3 connector? If so then the built in tools (if Exchange 2003) for dropping the messages will probably not work.
Simon.
