Find Out If users connected to a Domain
Hi,
I wanted to find out if their is a command or utility which can show me how many users are connected to the domain ... and on which servers.
That would be helpful - when say I want to restart the server. If nobody is connected that I can go ahead and restart the server.
I know that you can go to Computer Management -> Shared Files -> Open Files to check if someone has go open files ... but that doesnt full tell me if someone is logged on currently.
I mean someone could be logged on but they havent open up any shared files etc
thanks

net share <sharename> will show you what users are connected to a share, but you have to run it on a per-share basis.
I always check this way:
Rich click on My computer > Manage > Shared Folders on the left > Sessions
I do this before I restart any company server that we own the network for.
Rich click on My computer > Manage > Shared Folders on the left > Sessions
I do this before I restart any company server that we own the network for.
sorry...Right click...
