asked on

The webpage cannot be found http 400 Error

Our Web server/ FTP Server took a dive.  I have the rebuilt the server and loaded windows 2003 R@2 on a new box.  The old box had windows 2000 sp4 on it.

I got the FTP server working perfectly, but I am having a difficult time try to get the our company web site operational again.  I am getting, "The webpage cannot be found" Http 400 Error

Really need some help in getting this operational again

Thanks,

Rick

Are all the pages asp pages? Win 2k3 by default will have this feature disabled and you would have to go to Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components, Application Sevrer, IS, details.....@ the bottom of that dialog in WWW section and select asp...(Only if this is your case)

Control Panel>Administrative tools>Services>
Verify:
1)WWW Pub services are Installed and running

Right click "My Computer",>Choose  Manage, Choose>Services and Applications>IIS> Websites> In the right pane look for your default website and ensure its running. After that go to Web services extensions, if its using asp pages > Select Active server pages, select allow.

Then confirm if your content is there under the Default Website section under the IIS>Websites section.
Try that....and let us know...
