I have recently removed exchange server from our organization. Prior doing that I have backed up the mail boxes to the pst files. There were only few of them. Since then I have reinstalled exchange. Everything runs smoothly except some emails imported from the .pst files to exchange have lost database link. So now when a user replies to the old message (the one copied over from the .pst file) it comes up underliverable as in the bottom example:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

      Some User on 10/26/2007 4:02 PM
            The message could not be delivered because the recipient's destination email system is unknown or invalid. Please check the address and try again, or contact your system administrator to verify connectivity to the email system of the recipient.

I have checked the recipients policy and it matches our domain etc... this error does not come up when the users picks the user from the GAL... so I know for a fact that the older emails from the other exchange server are not linked up properly or the current exchange cannot find the according user in the database. I have also disabled cached mode and recreated outlook profile with no help. My question is how can I resolve that as some users have few hundred emails from the previous exchange in the current mailboxes?
