[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

I just installled SQL server 2000 SP4 on my new server running Win 2003. When I try to connect my asp web app to this SQL server, the intranet site works fine, but the internet gives me the error message
[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
I think there is a set up on the new SQL server that prevent from connecting to the internet site, but don't know what. Pleasa help. Thanks
