BlackBerry Service Book Problem - More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found.

Hi, I just upgraded my BlackBerry 7130G to version 4.2, using the software package available through BB's site. It's a Rogers unit, and I used the Rogers specific download.

Everything works fine, the upgraded went flawlessly, except... now my e-mail is hooped. It's not syncing with my BES server, and I'm getting the error 'More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found.' if I try to use the 'More' command on any existing e-mail.

I found another EE question about this, and it advised that if you're on a BES, delete the Desktop (CMIME) service book from your handheld, and resend it from your BES. However, I don't have this service book listed on my handheld. Maybe this is something new with version 4.2?

Also, something about trying to re-register the Host Routing Table...?

I have faced the same issue with 8830 device and tried updating software for blackberry, resending service book nothing worked on the end I have purchased a new BB and that worked.

Try using another blackberry and do the activation to check if that works

Okay, so I have done a new Enterprise Activation with my BlackBerry, and now the 'Desktop' service books have appeared.

I can now do 'More' requests successfully on existing messages, however, it still isn't syncing any of the mail since 11:30 last night when I did the software upgrade...

Sorry amaheshwari, buying a new unit hopefully isn't the answer here...

Okay, it looks as though it is syncing new mail now, just not the old stuff. This works fine though - at least I'm getting incoming mail!
Your help has saved me hundreds of hours of internet surfing.

I have had to do a wipe on some new devices before they worked properly after a Software upgrade.

I hope this helps !
