Can someone please help?
I cannot access Bank of Americas HTTPS site to check an account from my pc. This is the only HTTPS site that I cannot access. I can access this site from any other computer in the building except from mine.

But you can do other HTTPs sites on THIS machine?
Hello s1224g,
Some websites still require IE6 to work. Spoof the site by tweaking your user-agent.

Hope this helps!

The login page seems to dispaly properly using ssl in IE7 from here...
Looks like a individual issue - rather than the site not supporting IE7.

and235100,
I get a certificate error first then when I click to continue to the site it will not let me view any other pages on the site except for the Home page. If I try to click on other links the browser tries to open the page but eventually I just get a blank white page.

sl1224g, did you spoof the site by using IE6 user agent.
and235100, IE7 works differently in different system. It depends on the hardware and other programs loaded. Just because the site works in your IE7 does not mean it will work in asker's computer. Changing the user agent is a good solution.

If the site is a known and trusted site kindly install the certificates see the link http://www.ie-vista.com/secure.html

Not in my experience - what makes the most difference is whether the installation is up-to-date in regards to Windows Update. Hardware differences can have next to no bearing on whether IE7 works on a website or not - software yes - hardware no. We are talking about different layers on the OSI model...
Changing the user agent is probably a good solution - but it is a workaround - not a final solution.
s1224g - check that you are updated fully on WIndows Update.
Also - download and install the certificate from here: https://getca.verisign.com/update.html

and235100,
I tried your suggestions but they still did not help. I also tried installing Firefox and I still get the same result. I do have also checked to make sure that our firewall is not blocking the site and windows firewall is turned off. Any more suggestions?
Thanks

This may be a hardware firewall issue then - check that no ports are being blocked (I know that SSL uses 443 by default - and other SSL sites work) - but this site may be using a different port number...

Check your hosts file (C:\Windows\system32\drive
Open the file in Notepad - and make sure that the IP address (or name of the site) is not listed. If it is - delete the line, and save the file.
(you may need to follow the instructions here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/tips/hiddenfiles.mspx to unhide hidden files and folders first)
If not - check for spyware/malware issues - run a full scan using HouseCall:

Then install, update and run a full scan using SuperAntiSpyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html
