Adding a new SBS2003 and want it to be the domain controller
Here we go.....
I am adding a new server to my network. The new server is much more of a workhorse than the "old" one. They both have SBS2003 SP2. I would like to recreate the Active Directory on the new server. I only have about a dozen users so it is really no big deal.
I do have an application running on the old server that I would like to keep in motion during this transition. I just need to know I should run dcpromo on the old server to wipe the AD then run dcpromo on the new server to promote it to domain controller? Is there a utility I need to run off of disc 2 for this?
I hear a lot of conflicting opinions over the internet about how you should not run 2 servers with SBS in the same domain.

You can - ONLY for a limited amount of time (time you need to migrate/transfer across) and after that your server will keep shutting down itself.
Just as an update, there is new documenation that was just released this week on how to migrate SBS to new hardware. You can find that at http://sbsurl.com/newhardware
