I found this in the server report for a client today:

Source Event ID Last Occurrence Total Occurrences
  Security 529 10/30/2007 5:45 AM 2,611 *
Logon Failure:
Reason: Unknown user name or bad password
  User Name: LWilliams
  Domain: domain
  Logon Type: 3
  Logon Process: NtLmSsp
  Authentication Package: NTLM
  Workstation Name: LWilliams_PC
  Caller User Name: -
  Caller Domain: -
  Caller Logon ID: -
  Caller Process ID: -
  Transited Services: -
  Source Network Address: 192.168.16.91
  Source Port: 1860

Googling this port, it comes back as 'sunscalar service'.  Anyone have any idea what that is and why an authenticated PC would be generating this message?

And then on a different PC on the same network, this entry:

Source Event ID Last Occurrence Total Occurrences
  Security 537 10/30/2007 4:40 AM 160 *
Logon Failure:
Reason: An error occurred during logon
  User Name:
  Domain:
  Logon Type: 3
  Logon Process: Kerberos
  Authentication Package: Kerberos
  Workstation Name: -
  Status code: 0xC000006D
  Substatus code: 0xC0000133
  Caller User Name: -
  Caller Domain: -
  Caller Logon ID: -
  Caller Process ID: -
  Transited Services: -
  Source Network Address: 192.168.16.54
  Source Port: 2168

I can't find anything at all on what that port is.  I did find this webpage which shows a spike yesterday on 1860 on the web:
