server is very slow when loading personal settings

Hi ,
I have a citrix farm with 8 servers , XP 4.0 citrix verion , windows 2003 servers. On one server when people connact via web interface it takes 3-5 minutes to load the personal settings.
Any ideas  ?

Are you using roaming profiles ?
If so considiser re-directing My Documents to slim down the profile

yes, i am using roaming profiles.  I will check the documents redirection although i think it works.

As pointed out, profile size may be your issue. Another possible issue is group policies.
Check the event log for errors and again, the size of your profiles.

my question is....why the peronal data load very fast on the rest 7 servers but not on this one ? Document redirection is configured and works.

I have had this happen when using group policy to define the terminal server profile path, It was very odd, but after consulting with microsoft, they deemed that we needed to disable that policy.  Once we got rid of it, everything sailed along fine.

yeap, u got it. It was the NIC. I switched to auto and worked fine. thanks

DO NOT USE DFS on your roaming profiles path - use full UNC path should fix
