I wanted to get an expets opinion on checking for database corruption in an Oracle 9i database. I wanted to use the following command on my production database:<br />
BACKUP VALIDATE CHECK LOGICAL DATABASE ARCHIVELOG ALL;<br />
<br />
From my understanding this will not actually perform a database backup but it will check for logical and physical database corruption correct? Can this be done while users are still operating in the database or should it be done when you users are logged off or after hours? <br />
<br />
If you have any other easy suggestions to check for logical and physical database corruption in Oracle 9i, I would be very open to your suggestions. Please advise.
