Upgrade SQL Express database to SQL Standard

ajdratch asked
Last Modified: 2012-08-13
I had a SQL 2005 Express database that was reaching the 4 gig limit. I upgraded to SQL 2005 Standard and choose the default instance name. I was under the impression that this would upgrade the databases to SQL 2005. The database just hit 4 gig and we can not add to it. I ran the query SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('edition')  and it reports Express Edition. How can I upgrade this database to SQL 2005 standard?
