We've created a cname entry for on the internet. This alias points to We see that is a valid, working link to a web page. We see that the cname record that we created in the domain looks correct. Here it is : 300 IN CNAME

When we attempt to go to it fails. We are sitting behind a firewall. There is an internet domain called and there is an intranet domain with the same name. We have an autoproxy pac file set up. When Joe User enters a URL that includes the domain he automatically goes through the firewall unless there's a rule in the pac file to prevent this.

Any ideas why this cname entry is not working? Thanks.
