How To publish server status to a web page?

Would like to be able to poll my Windows 2003 servers for their current status, are they up or are they down? And then publish the information to a web page where my users can go to check the status of the servers.

Has anyone else done this? If so, do you have an example of how you did it?

try some sort of script that pings the target servers and then displays a status based on the result

- the MS Script centre has an eg Ping Multiple Computers

Thank you, but this does not help, it just points me to a web site.. I do not have time to dig through thousands of pages on scripting. Am looking for fast easy solution or least a more focused starting point.
