SPREADSHEET LOCK

Experts,

I have a spreadsheet in which i only want to allow the user to do certain things. I hope you can answer these few questions:

1) How do I stop the user from manipulating certain cells and only
2) How do i lock the formatting of the entire spreadsheet - to include cell formatting
3) How can i stop the user from trying to delete or rename a sheet ( in the sheet events perhaps)

I am trying to make the spreadsheet as robust as possible by elimiating unexpected inputs.....I hope i havent asked too much for 500 points!

Thanks

Simon

This is not really an answer to your question, but a word of caution. There are downloadable Excel add-ons out there that can break the passwording described above, just an FYI depending on the level of security you want to have for your sheet.
1) How do I stop the user from manipulating certain cells and only
right click on cell (that you wish to lock or unlock) >> Format Cell >> Protection >> check "Locked" (to lock) or uncheck to accept user inputs
after that you will have to protect the sheet :
Tool >> protection >> protect sheet

2) How do i lock the formatting of the entire spreadsheet - to include cell formatting
Qustion not clear :P

3) How can i stop the user from trying to delete or rename a sheet ( in the sheet events perhaps)
Tool >> protection >> protect WORKBOOK
Hello gawai,
