Installed 4G RAM and XP Pro show 3G RAM

I use Windows XP pro and on the propertes of my computer it show 3G, even though i have the   boot.ini  3G switch turned on and 4G of ram installed.
in the Bois i can see 4G but the OS show only 3G, what i need to do is there a tool the show the amount of memory that the os is using or runing?

yeah, I was sure that was it. too bad that in Microsoft knowledge base they write it supports 32bit also.
if you edit your boot.ini file and add /PAE to the end it should show full 4GB

eg.
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn /PAE
You also might try turning off the page file if you really want to see that 4GBs of memory in Windows because this is using some of the bus lines to communicate with the physical RAM.  

To disable your page file:

Right click on My Computer
Go to Properties
Click the Advanced tab
Click Settings under Performance
Click the Advanced tab here
Click Change under Virtual Memory
and lastly
Select the 'No paging file' radio button
