How to disable trashbox function?

I'm using a Buffalo TeraStation HS-DHTGL/R5 2.10 as a external Backup Harddisk for my Server.
The problem is that everyday the backup from 4 days before is not being deleted from the disk. Instead it is just moved into the trashbox where I have to check ervery day to delete it by hand. If I forget to check the harddisk is filling up in just a few days.
Is ther any way to disable that trashbox function so that old backups will be really deleted?

To add a new shared folder, enter a name for it.in.the.Shared Folder Name box and choose which.Disk Space.it.will.reside.in...You.may.also choose which operating systems the share will support by putting the appropriate checks next to Shared Folder OS Support, and whether the share supports the Recycle Bin by putting a dot next to Enable.or.Disable. Enter a Shared Folder Description.and.a.Remote Backup Password.if.you.desire...Click.the.Apply button to build the new shared folder

we have three  buffalo drives, one of which  constantly drops off my network - any ideas as to what might cause this and more importantly how to stabilise the connection?
