Safe Senders still end in Deleted Items folder

I'm running  Office 2003 on a win2k3 server. My Outlook retrieves POP3 mail from a server on the LAN. For some strange reason certain correspondence (mostly with multiple receipients), which I repeatedly mark as from a safe sender, continues to wind up as a Deleted Item. I tried turning off Spam filter , but all that did was stop the transfer of items to Junk E-mail folder. Am I missing something here?

Hello PCGenieLA,

You may have a mail rule sending emails to Deleted folder.  Delete those mail rules.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, Warf, It wasn't immediately obvious to me that the rules function was the same as it is in Outlook Express. I was distracted by the function "add sender to safe sender list". Thank you again.
