image generation of text in charchter set windows-1256

hi all,
please concern  http://q.softwarelab.net/

it's a sample for image  generation  from text in arabic language for a news site
I've some problems
text characters  in arabic must be connected to each other by some rules it's not like english

(the letter in the start of the word have a certain shape and in the middle of the world have a different shape and in and in the en of the word have a third shape)

that's why i'm saying the text shown in arabic under the title:
here is the text I want to generate as image is the right one

while the text generated as image under the title:
here is the image with the bug in image generation

can you please tell me how to solve this problem? if the problem in the font can you please guide me where to find the appropriate fonts?

why do a convert??? if you comment the convert line and try again what happens???

//$text= iconv("windows-1256", "UTF-8", $text);

i dunno arabic. but looking at the code i was curious to see the conversion and therefore  the suggestion.
