i want to increase the size of my exchange stores and don't really have a bunch of space on my root drive. i would like to move the exchange data to a partition where i have ample room available. getting it off of the root sounds like a pretty good idea anyway.

Open system manager drill down to the storage group you want to move. Right click, click the database tab and change the path of the database and trans logs. Exchange will then sit there and copy all the files across to the new path. This can take a while depending on the size of your store. You can do the same with the public folders as well if you wish although its not complulsory
