Has anyone installed a wps54g Print server on a vistaq machine.?  I was told by linksys that it is not comjpatibal with Vista.  And yet, I bet someone has installed it.

it went through an install before but then some other problems cropped up in the same machine and I had to quit trying to get it to work.  Now, the other problems are fixed and I am trying to get it back to the install and finish it.

When I hit reset on the wps54g it prints out its configuration info.  It has the correct ssid (linksys) and channel (11).  but its ipaddress is 169.254.53.156 and the gateway is 0.0.0.0 (should be 192.168.1.1)

The subnet mask 255.255.255.0 is correct.

So, what do you all think I should do?
1)  hard reset (reset 1 min, unplug 10 seconds, plug back in 10 seconds, let up on reset)?
2) somehow try to reset the ip address to 192.168.1.200 (which I believe is tghe default) and the gateway to 192.168.1.1.   If i can get it to these addresses, I bet it would work.

Let me know whay you all think.
